Taro Pharmaceuticals

Description

I led the process of creating ads, brochures, logos, displays, marketing materials, and web graphics at Taro from 2004 to 2006. I worked with vendors throughout all aspects of production, from requesting estimates to overseeing press runs for varied multimillion-dollar private label clients. I also managed the design team to ensure the quality and timely completion of all projects. I initiated new effective solutions for font maintenance, job archival, and standard operating procedures that changed the running efficiency of the creative department.

NonSpil Technology

Taro Pharmaceuticals began to license their NonSpil Technology to private labels in 2004, and were in need of a printable logo that visually represented their patent. The spoon illustration dovetailed nicely with the branding efforts for Taro’s own popular children’s cough medicine, ElixSure.

Children’s ElixSure

ElixSure received the prestigious 2004 Good Housekeeping Institute “Good Buy” Award, provided physicians and patients with a unique liquid drug delivery system that pours but does not spill. I was responsible for updating the packaging, POP/POS displays, creating new product images, and assembling marketing materials for trade shows and sales representatives.

Packaging

I oversaw a redesign Taro’s entire line of generic prescription and OTC pharmaceuticals. I created new composite product images and redesigned Taro’s sell sheets to utilize warm lifestyle images and light background colors that reflected the color systems used in the redesigned packaging. Many illustrations were created for patient information and packaging.

Annual Report

For Taro’s 2004 Annual Report, I created a clean, light atmosphere with calming colors that dovetailed nicely with lifestyle photos utilized in marketing and sales materials throughout the year.
